What does Watch This Car actually do?
Each day we run an automated check on every VIN you've added — pulling fresh data from DVLA, HistoVec, NHTSA, manufacturer recall feeds, and tax/MOT registers. If anything has changed since the last check (new mileage entry, new recall, ownership transfer, accident report), we email you with the diff and a link to view the full updated history.
Can I monitor more than 5 cars?
The current plan covers up to 5 vehicles. If you need more (dealer use case, fleet manager), reach out — we'll set up a higher-tier plan.
What kind of changes do you alert on?
Mileage updates from MOT/contrôle technique, new manufacturer recall openings, ownership transfers, accident reports filed with insurers, theft/write-off status changes, and tax-status changes. We don't alert on cosmetic data (colour change, vehicle category) — only material risk + value signals.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time from the link in any of our emails, or from your Stripe customer portal. No proration on monthly plans (you keep access until the end of the period); annual plans are pro-rated.
