The reliability of our tools depends on verified, recognised sources:
- NHTSA vPIC (Vehicle Product Information Catalog) — official US VIN decoding database
- Manufacturer databases (WMI) — manufacturer identification per ISO 3779
- Market data — real used vehicle transactions in France and Europe
- Standardised OBD2 database — fault codes per SAE J2012 and ISO 15031
